Women's Resource Center
Location: Trowbridge Residence Hall
Basement

The Women's Resource Center seeks to provide a safe, supportive, and educational environment open to the entire Kalamazoo College student population (women and men). The WRC also seeks to promote communication, community, and confidentiality for women on campus.

The WRC offers:

  • a safe, diverse, non-judgmental space for students
  • a strong women-centered community
  • a place to promote increased understanding between women and men
  • contraception and health information
  • education including body awareness, health, sexuality, and women's history
  • library resources
  • an open forum environment where ideas may be freely expressed
  • referrals to women-friendly professionals in the Kalamazoo area

A Living Learning Housing Unit with women as its concentration and concern will provide the safe and supportive environment that a simple organization could not. Via visibility and active participation in the Kalamazoo College community, the WRC will help promote understanding and tolerance.
