It is easy for a full-time student to get wrapped up in the obligations of their own life and forget about the world outside them. It is important, though, that all people, even the busiest ones, make service to their community a priority in their life. I have always tried to commit to an outside activity that works to help others. I have found that these types of activities not only improve the lives of others, but have also improved my own life. A person can achieve so much by volunteering in their community. By accepting a social responsibility a person contributes to growth in their community and learns the importance of giving back.
