Dedication to Fitness:
I have been addicted to fitness
since my childhood. I participated and excelled in every sport that
I played from basketball to soccer to cross-country. In high school
and college, I focused my energy towards running. In addition to
training everyday during the cross-country season, I continued to train
during the off season in which I combined running with weight-lifting and
cross-country skiing.
Career Relevance:
Being physically fit is an
important part to my career choice. I plan to do field research which
often subjects the researcher to demanding conditions in which it is essential
to be physically fit.
Scholar Athlete:
In college, I was awarded the Scholar
Athlete reward for maintaining a GPA of 4.0 during the cross-country season.
I achieved this both sophomore and senior years of running.
