Students are invited to participate in the many opportunities for the development of their spiritual and moral lives while at Kalamazoo College. Each week a convocation setting gives students, faculty, staff or guest speakers an opportunity to reflect on spiritual or moral concerns, or other topics relevant to their growth and development. The Chaplain is available for conversation and counseling. Local Protestant churches of many denominations, the Congregation of Moses, the Islamic Center and the St. Thomas More Student Parish (Roman Catholic) are within walking distance of the campus.

Kalamazoo College believes that spiritual and moral development should occur along with intellectual and emotional growth. One aspect of that growth may be within one's own religious tradition, but another important aspect is developing knowledge of and respect for other spiritual traditions. The Chapel office at Kalamazoo College seeks to help students as they engage in such growth.
