Cashing Checks
Students may cash personal checks up to a limit of $200
at the College bookstore. Larger checks can sometimes be cashed
in the business office. Third party checks cannot be cashed on
campus. Kalamazoo College payroll checks are cashed as long as
funds allow.
Local Banking
We encourage students to open accounts in a local bank
because area businesses are more accepting of checks drawn on
local banks. Following is a list of local banks that are within
walking distance of the campus:

These banks may require a Michigan ID or driver's license to open
an account. National City Bank has located an automated teller machine
in the lobby of Hicks Center.
