The Mathematics and Computer Science Department is a multi-disciplinary
community of student and faculty scholars, committed to fostering critical
habits of mind: analysis, synthesis and investigation. The threads
that bring color and variety to the fabric of our community are the
languages and perspectives of our disciplines and specializations.
Through innovative instruction and scholarship; experiential investigation
and education; and industrial consultation and collaboration, our reach
extends throughout the entire college and to the community of scholars
and professionals beyond.
The department's course offerings serve students throughout the college
with classes in quantitative reasoning, statistics, calculus, and programming.
The department also offers advanced courses in mathematics and computer
science that support majors and minors in both disciplines.
