her son’s life. Lawrence B. Schlack, former superintendent
of KPS, will discuss the educational system.

Edward Roth, Associate Professor of Music Therapy at Western Michigan

Dr. John Corvino, Wayne State University, will examine and dismantles
the most common arguments against homosexual conduct.

Kalamazoo Mandolin Orchestra and the Yellow Spring, OH Mandolin
Orchestra will join to perform historically relevant composition
for the mandolin.
Tuesday, November 11~ Yourba Dance
Dr. Ajayi-Soyinka will lecture/demonstrate the technique of Yourba
dance. She will be choreographing Death and the King’s Horseman
in the fall.
Thursday-Sunday, November 13-16, Death and the King’s
Horseman, Balch 8pm/sun 2pm
This play, by Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka and based on
an incident that took place in Nigeria during British colonial
rule, probes the relationship between the unborn, the living, and
the dead while weaving together African and European traditions
to tell a tale of cultural responsibility.
