Information Services : Web Services : Administration Dean of Library and Information Services The Dean of Library and Information Services has the following responsibilities related to the Kalamazoo College Web presence: • Respond to directives of the PAC • Make decisions on what issues to bring to the Web Executive Committee • Acts as agent to receive notification of claimed copyright infringement • Coordinates process of violation of Web policies and Web page use • Accepts complaints about pages found on the College’s various Web servers, including unofficial servers such as departmental or student servers • Makes a judgment about whether the content of a page violates the Web Site policies and temporarily suspends the page pending a review • Convenes a review committee or hearing to determine responsibility • Reports suspension of a page to the author of the page • Refers appeals on suspension of personal pages to the President. • When appropriate uses an advisory committee for informal feedback of projects in process.
