Stetson Chapel Interior

Currently Kalamazoo College has no religious affiliation, although it was founded Baptist. Chaplain Mary Ellen Ashcroft offers students many programs relating to spirituality. There is a Chapel program every Friday, which students are not required to attend, however, they are released from all classes during this time. Chapel provides a time for the campus to come together and hear about topics of interest on campus and it is usually secular. Chapels can range from music recitals, to poetry readings and sometimes professor talent shows!

The 50-year old original organ has also been replaced by a beautiful Hellmuth Wolff organ, which was dedicated on March 4, 1988. The new organ has 43 stops and 65 ranks, and its action is mechanical.
