Obtaining A Static IP Adresses

Static IP addresses are available to a limited number of students. Addresses are good for one school year, and applications for static addresses must be made again the following fall. To request a static IP address, forward the following information to network@kzoo.edu

• Computer name
• Ethernet hardware address
• Do you want it listed in the dns?
• Brand of computer
• Model number
• Operating systems
• Your name
• Building where computer will be located
• Room number
• Email ID
• Phone number
• Reason for static IP address

The dns path will be host.student.kzoo.edu, where host is the name that you pick for your computer.
