Do I need to log onto the network?

When using a computer in a College laboratory, you must log on with your assigned computer account and password. You do not normally need to log onto the network from your personal computer. You can still use email and browse the Internet without logging in. However, a faculty member may sometimes make files available to you on the network. In this case, you would need to log in to access the files from your personal computer (or you could access them from the lab).

How long can I keep my Henson email and web pages after I graduate?

Kalamazoo College only provides you with an email account for six months after graduation. Accounts of those who graduated in June or before will be deactivated in January or early February.

We do not normally make exceptions to this policy. Please be sure to save information that you need, such as web pages and email addresses of friends, prior to graduation. Once the account is deactivated you will no longer be able to login. Once accounts are deleted, forwarding mechanisms will no longer work and email to the deleted accounts will be rejected back to the sender.
