Q. Can I get a cell phone for College business?
Cell phones are paid for by individual departments and thus must be approved by the department chairperson. NexTel is the College's preferred vendor and use of any other vendor must be approved by the Business Office. Q. What do I do if I need a new feature (or need to cancel a feature) on my cell phone?

Q. Can I buy accessories for my phone?
If your department approves payment for a cell phone accessory, the Business Office can order accessories from Nextel at a 25% discount.
Q. How do I get billed? What if there is a problem?
NexTel sends one bill for all College phones to the Business Office. The Business Office will then charge back the appropriate costs to individual departments. If there are billing questions or problems, contact the Business Office and they will work with you and Nextel on a resolution.
Q. What do I do if my phone stops working correctly or I need help with a "how to" question?
The Systems and Networking group in Information Services can help you find an authorized NexTel repair center for technical issues with your phone. We will put you in touch with the appropriate Nextel technical help desk or repair center. You can contact us through the Help Desk at x5800.
Q. Can I get a personal cell phone at a discount?
As an employee of Kalamazoo College, Nextel offers a 10% discount on new personal service contracts. Please note that this is for personal cell phone service and would NOT be paid for or warranted in any way by the College.
