LIBRARY POLICIES: NEW BOOKS SHELVES

The Library provides patrons with the opportunity to examine recently acquired books with the New Books shelves.

Location

The New Books shelves are located behind the Reference Desk on the main floor of Upjohn Library Commons.

Purpose

Patrons can browse through all the circulating books that are new to the Library collection for the week.

Length of Display

The New Books shelves are updated continually. The books are displayed for approximately one month, then they are shelved in the regular stacks. New Books can be checked out while they are in the New Books shelves.

Items Displayed

The New Books shelves are for books only. This includes both regular sized and oversized books. For security purposes, CDs, DVDs, and videotapes will not be displayed on the New Books shelves. Current periodicals are displayed on the second floor and will not be displayed on the New Books shelves.
