The Educational Resources Information Center has represented
the most complete bibliography of educational materials available
since 1966. The ERIC
database is a guide to published and unpublished sources on
thousands of educational topics. ERIC
contains citations and abstracts of the international journal
and report literature in education and related fields. Subjects
include all aspects of education, including child development,
classroom techniques, computer education, counseling and testing,
administration, higher education, library science, and vocational
and adult education. Sources include journals, educational
reports, project descriptions, curriculum guides, books, theses,
conference papers, standards and guidelines, and dissertations.
As of October 1, 2004, over 107,000 full-text non-journal
documents (issued 1993-2004), previously available through
the ERIC Document Reproduction
Service (EDRS), will now be available at no charge. All
full-text content freely available through the ERIC website
will also be available through the FirstSearch version of
ERIC.
