Curricular Support : Production Studio and Edit Suite

There are two main purposes for Kalamazoo College student use of the Production Studio and Edit Lab. One is to enhance classroom and independent learning for academic credit. Guidelines necessarily originate from appropriate faculty, whether as direct classroom instructors or as advisors for SIPs and independent courses. Contact production@kzoo.edu. Students can also declare a Media Studies Concentration for academic credit.

The second is to encourage students to explore electronic media for their self-expression, personal growth, and career opportunities. Guidelines for these originate from the Studio Steering Committee, which include faculty, administrators and student members.

Both purposes however, are designed to encourage and support the development of community on our campus through collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect of ideas and expression.
