Extended Library and Beaner's Hours

Beginning Spring quarter, the Library will extend its evening hours. The new hours will be:

Monday – Thursday: 8am – 2am
Friday: 8am – 10pm
Saturday: 9am – 10pm
Sunday: 11am – 2am

Beaner’s Café will also extend their hours on a trial basis for the first two weeks of Spring quarter. Their hours will be:

Monday – Thursday: 7:45am – 1:30am
Friday: 7:45am – 9:30pm
Saturday: 9:30am – 9:30pm
Sunday: 11:30am – 1:30am

New Database: Johns Hopkins Guide to Literary Theory and Criticism

The Library is pleased to announce a new database: The Johns Hopkins Guide to Literary Theory and Criticism. This database contains information on internationally-known critics and theorists, critical and theoretical schools and movements, and the critical and theoretical innovations of specific countries and historical periods.

Discontinuation of Britannica Original Sources

The Library is discontinuing its subscription to the Britannica Original Sources database on March 31, 2006. This database (http://www.sources.eb.com/) includes over 350,000 primary documents and 5,000 full-length books. Food and Drink Policy Reminder

The Library has recently experienced a spate of food and beverage spills. Please remember that here is NO FOOD ALLOWED outside of Beaners Café in the Library building. Drinks are allowed in the Library in SPILLPROOF CONTAINERS (travel mugs, sports bottles, etc.). Beaner’s disposable cups ARE NOT ALLOWED outside of Beaner’s Café. Examples of acceptable and unacceptable drink containers are posted throughout the Library. The Library’s policies are available at: http://www.kzoo.edu/is/library/policies/
