New Interface for Philosopher's Index

Kalamazoo College is now subscribing to Philosopher's Index Online through CSA (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts). The CSA interface offers more in-depth searching options than our old interface (SilverPlatter), and it separates the results by material type (books, articles, peer-reviewed articles, etc.).

You can also access the Philosopher's Index from the Databases page on the Library Website.

The Philosopher's Index Online is available from on campus and off campus -- just click on the link to the database from the Library's website and enter your name and barcode number from your K College ID when prompted.

Library Catalog Gets Facelift

Ariadne, the Library's Online Catalog, was revitalized this morning with a new look. The basic functionality remains the same, but we're hoping the new interface will be easier to use and more helpful for searchers. Special thanks to Kathryn Lightcap for her assistance with the design!

New Database: RILM Abstracts of Music Literature

The Library is pleased to announce a new subscription to RILM Abstracts of Music Literature. RILM is an online index to publications on music and various other fields as they relate to music, including acoustics, liturgy, aesthetics, mathematics, anthropology, music therapy, criticism, dance, philosophy, psychology, visual arts, and more. RILM includes over 500 scholarly journals and covers publications from 1967 to the present.
