Talk on Japanese novelist Nagai Kafu at WMU

The Soga Japan Center at WMU is pleased to announce a talk on Nagai Kafu by Dr. Rachel Hutchison, Assistant Professor of Japanese Studies at Colgate University, New York.

The talk will deal with the famous Japanese novelist Nagai Kafu, who lived in Kalamazoo in 1905 while studying at Kalamazoo College. He wrote part of his American Stories, a major classic of modern Japanese literature, while living on Elm Street in the Stuart neighborhood.
