Information Services on the Move
Information Services staff members will begin to move to
their temporary locations on campus after Commencement.
There should be a minimal disruption in services, and in
most cases there will be no service interruptions. The old
Library building will be closed to the public on July 12.
June 17-18
Web Services: Carolyn Zinn will be moved to the Carriage
House on June 17-18. There will be no disruption in onsite
support.
Graphics Lab: Kathryn Lightcap (Graphics) will be moved to
the Carriage House on June 17-18. There will be a short
disruption in service for the time it takes to move the
lab (1/2 day).
June 28-29
Administrative Computing and Systems/Networking: Scott Ryder,
Wilfred Lim, Mark Fedak, Ken Arthur, David Van Sweden, Jeff
Dancer, and Russ Aspinwall will be moved to Publications Room
on June 28-29. There will be no disruption in onsite support;
some things will be delayed or limited for the time it takes
to move (1/2 day).
Archives: Liz Smith will be moved to Publications Room on
June 28-29. There will be no disruption in service, but some
items will be unavailable in the time it takes to move (2-3
hours).
June 30-July 2
Videos will move to the Quad Stop between June 30 and July 2.
Some things will be unavailable during the time it takes to
move (1/2 day).
July 2
Dean's Office: Lisa Palchick and Linda Schubel's offices will
be moved to the Quad Stop. There will be no service outage.
July 6
Video/Media Services: Julie Hartenberger will be moved to
the Publications Room on July 6. There will be no service
interruptions.
Curricular Support, PC Support, and Help Desk: Don Mack,
Peter Zillmann, Russell Cooper, Puja Parakh, and Jim Vermeulen
will be moved to the Phoneathon Room on July 6. There will be
a service outage for the Help Desk only for the time it takes
to move (2 hours). There will be no service interruptions for
onsite PC support. Media equipment may be used as usual.
July 8-9
Circulation: Mary Griswold will move to the Quad Stop on
July 8-9. There will be no interruption in services; materials
will continue to be paged every two hours.
Reference: Robin Rank and Stacy Nowicki will move to the Quad
Stop on July 8-9. Reference books will move a week earlier and
will be unavailable until offices move in July. Public computers
will already be in the temporary Reference Area, so there will
be no disruption.
Acquisitions: Ann Haight and Renata Schnelker will be moved to
the Quad Stop on July 8-9. There will be no disruptions in service.
July 12
Library Technical Services: Paul Smithson will be moved to the
Quad Stop on July 12 (this is tentative -- may move July 9). There
will be no service disruptions.
Interlibrary Loan: Susan Bos will be moved to the Quad Stop on
July 12 (this is tentative -- may move July 9). There will be no
service disruptions.
The old library building will be closed to the public on July 12.
