Off-Campus Access to Licensed Resources
Current students, faculty, and staff may access most of the library's licensed
research databases from off-campus.
Be sure to start your research at the Library website!
- To access Library Databases
and Online Journals from off campus,
click on the link to the database or journal.
- Next you should see the Proxy Server Login screen that
asks for your Kalamazoo College username and password.
- After entering these, you will be authenticated as a
Kalamazoo College student, faculty, or staff member,
and you will be forwarded to the database.
If you have trouble accessing a library database from off campus,
please contact the Reference Department at 269 337-7152 or
reference@kzoo.edu.
Troubleshooting
- Has your Password expired? If you need help with your knet password,
please see the
Help Desk page on
Password Help
- Off-campus access works best with Mozilla or
Internet Explorer.
Other browsers may not work with off campus access
(AOL or Netscape, for example).
- Update your browser. The latest version of your browser will work best.
- If you are having trouble accessing a database,
make sure popup windows are enabled (essential for
Readers'
Guide Retrospective).
- Some databases require you to enable cookies or Java scripting to access them.
- If you simply cannot access a database from one browser,
try a different browser.
- If you need more help, contact the Reference Librarians (269 337-7152 or
reference@kzoo.edu).
