FINDING ARTICLES
NOTE: Ariadne (the library catalog) DOES NOT
contain information about individual articles within journals.
1. Select and search an index or database.
2. Once you've found an article you want, you have to get it.
Write down the journal title, volume, date, pages, etc.
- Search Ariadne for the
journal title
to find the call number.
If we own the journal in print and have the volume and
issue you want, congratulations! If we don't
own it in print, then...
- Search Online
Journals at K to see if we have access to the full
text of this journal.
If we have access to the full text of the article you
want, congratulations! If we don't have full
text access, then...
- Check
WestCat
(Western Michigan University's catalog).
If Western owns the title and has the volume and issue
you want, congratulations! If they don't own
it in print, then...
- Request the journal article through
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
using your ILLiad account.
