How to Change Your KNET (Network) Password
You can change your KNET (Microsoft Network) password in the Passwords Control Panel in Windows.

  • Windows 95/98/Me computers in offices or residence halls
  • Windows 2000: after logging in, press Ctrl + Alt + Del simultaneously, then click "Change Password"
  • Mac users: Network password changing is not available from the Macintosh. Please contact the Help Desk (337-5800)
  • If you do not remember your old password, please go to the Help Desk or use this secure form. You must provide identification.

How to Choose a Good Password
Passwords are what come between your data and the forces of evil. One of the most important things you can do to protect your data and your identity is to take good care of your passwords. Never tell anyone your passwords. If you must write your passwords down, don't put them on sticky notes on your computer.
