Pine ~ Campus
Lab Mac OS9 Computer
- look for the icon labeled "Henson" on
the desktop, and double-click it
- a window opens, prompting you for a login. Enter
your K College email username (for students, it's
something like k04xy01), and press Enter
- you are prompted for a password. Enter your email
password, and press Enter
- type the word "pine" (no quotes) and
press Enter
- if you have not used pine recently, you may encounter
a greeting message Type the letter "E" to
exit the greeting
- pine's main menu is displayed, in a configuration
that should look similar to image at right
- You are now using pine. Use the arrow keys on
the keyboard to move the selection up and down,
and use your Enter key to make a selection. Other
commands are available as described in the bottom
two rows of text on the screen, and in the main
menu. For instance, to view an index of the messages in your
inbox, type the letter "I" for "index." When you are finished,
press the letter Q to quit. After pine closes, type "exit" (no
quotes) to disconnect.
