What to bring to college

As you prepare for your move onto campus, we would like to recommend a simple first aid kit that you may find useful throughout the year.

Medications:

• psudoephedrine (Sudafed)
• ibuprofen (for pain and swelling)
• cold/cough syrup
• acetaminophen (Tylenol)
• cough drops/throat lozenges
• hydrocortisone cream (for rashes and bites)
• antibiotic cream (for cuts, abrasions, burns, bites, stings, and infections)
• sunscreen/aloe gel/lotion
• Pepto-Bismol (or equivalent, for upset stomach)

Dressings:

• sterile gauze
• ace bandage
• butterfly bandages
• antiseptic wipes
• assorted adhesive bandages
• waterproof adhesive tape

Instruments:

• tweezers
• surgical/bandage scissors
• cold pack
• heating pad
• thermometer
