SIP Registration
SIP registration is slightly different from registration for other classes. See http://www.kzoo.edu/academic/sip/ for details. You will also need to give a SIP proposal to the department of Economics & Business. For 1-unit SIPs, the department will assign a SIP advisor. Professor Li will be this year's SIP coordinator for Economics and Business.
If you are considering a two unit SIP, you will need to find a professor who is willing to act as your SIP advisor. You should meet with them early to see if they are interested in your topic. You must give them a proposal and they can sign your SIP registration form.
You will also need to register for SIP credits with the Registrar's office. All SIP Registration Forms are due in the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 p.m., Friday of week 10 in the Spring. The registrar's office restricts the drop/add process for the SIP.
Register for one or two units of SIP credit. These credits will be counted as part of your Fall course load. A normal schedule would include the SIP credit and 2 additional classes. Students who register for a 1 unit Summer SIP may take 3 courses in the Fall. You may not overload during your SIP quarter.
Note: You must complete a SIP proposal for the Department and register through the Registrar's office to be enrolled for your SIP.
