We will begin with core economic concepts and use them to analyze a variety of economic and public policy issues.  Topics will include the global economy, technological change, current economic policy, the environment and economics, and personal finance.  We will discuss timely issues such as oil prices, social security reform, health care costs, and the state of Michigan’s economy.  The emphasis will be on classroom applications.  Breakout groups will work with targeted grade level materials.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  Teachers who complete the workshop will receive a $100 stipend.
