Funding Opportunities

Special initiatives and priority needs of the College are often of particular interest to those who wish to make a gift in support of Kalamazoo College. Annual gifts to the Kalamazoo College Fund are always appreciated and may be designated in three ways. Donors who wish to create a named gift of some sort are encouraged to explore our endowment funding information. Gifts restricted in support of scholarships provide invaluable assistance to current and future students.

You may have new opportunities to make gifts to Kalamazoo College from your traditional or Roth IRA. If you will be age 701/2 by December 31, 2007, you may be able to roll over up to $100,000 from an IRA directly to the College without recognizing those assets as income. This change, which applies only to traditional and Roth IRAs and not to other forms of retirement plans, came about as a result of the Pension Protection Act of 2006, signed by President Bush in August 2006.
