The Tish Loveless Women’s Athletics Endowment

Kalamazoo College female athletes give 110% in their sport and in their academics. The Tish Loveless Endowment for Women’s Athletics is an incredible opportunity to support their hard work and dedication and to create those moments of magic for future generations of our women scholar-athletes.

Please join alumni and friends who have already pledged their support for our women Hornets by giving a gift to the endowment today. Secure online contributions can be made by following this link. Mail-in contributions are also appreciated. Please make your check payable to Kalamazoo College and include “Loveless Endowment” in the memo/note section.

Our goal is to fully fund this endowment at $2 million. The endowment will underwrite opportunities for women athletes at Kalamazoo College. Funds from the endowment may be used for equipment, recruiting, travel or other purposes that support women’s athletics.

The Tish Loveless Women’s Athletics Endowment was created to honor Tish Loveless, Kalamazoo College Professor of Physical Education Emerita and Director of Women’s Athletics 1953-86, a pioneer and leader in women’s intercollegiate athletics. The Loveless Endowment was created through the generosity of Elaine (Goff) Hutchcroft, Kalamazoo College Class of 1963. Elaine and her husband, Alan Hutchcroft K’63, both played varsity sports at Kalamazoo College and understood the value of the scholar-athlete experience.

“(Athletics) give perspective; they breed confidence; they build teamwork…. Why do I play? …I play for myself. I play for my teammates. I play to grow. I play for the love of the game.”
