“What doesn’t Kill you Makes you Stronger” ACOA Group
ACOAs (Adult Children of an Addicted, an Absent or an Angry Parent) at “K’ are amongst the most ambitious, high achieving and caring people on campus. This group will build on this positive legacy of ACOAs to help group members let go of the negative legacy of ACOAs. Especially recommended for seniors who don’t want to carry ACOA baggage into their future relationships. We will use Claudia Black’s ACOA classic “It Won’t Happen to Me” as our guide for this quarter. Contact: Dr. Alan Hill at ahill@kzoo.edu or call 7190.

Women of Color Group
This group is structured as an interpersonal process and support group for African American, Latina, and Asian American women or other racially/ethnically diverse women who’ve experienced racism/oppression in their lives.  This group will focus on identity issues, spirituality, family of origin issues, trauma experiences, interpersonal relationship issues, academic stresses, and all forms of oppression. The group will be led by Dr. Danielle Standish. Contact: Standish@kzoo.edu or call 337.7348 if you are interested.

Overweight Women at “K”
This group is for overweight female students at Kalamazoo College.  The goal of the group is to offer a safe place to discuss and process the unique issues that impact these women on campus. Contact: Amy Cavanaugh at jacavanau@kzoo.edu. Meets 4:-5:30pm on Thursdays

Come discuss frustrations with other students and learn methods to prepare for that next big test or class assignment. Contact: Danny Huber at dhuber@kzoo.edu

Navigating Society’s Expectations of Men and Emotions
Despite societal expectations, men naturally have emotions and need a healthy, trusting environment to discuss them. Are you a man who experiences emotions, but feel pressured not to express them? Come join a group of men who are willing to share emotions in a safe environment. Contact: Danny Huber at dhuber@kzoo.edu if interested.

To Procrastinate or Not to Procrastinate . . .
That is the question. And the answer is . . . come to this five week workshop to understand more about your particular struggle with procrastination and to develop some new ideas about reducing procrastination. Please contact Dr. Pat Ponto at 7191 or pponto@kzoo.edu if interested
