What are Brownfields?

Brownfields are property land that has been abandon or otherwise unused, usually located in city centers, urban neighborhoods, and/or low income neighborhoods. Therefore, brownfield redevelopment involves the economic development of these property lands into useful and viable property, whether housing, industrial, or commerce.
