Citizens Speak "A big concern of mine is the loss of jobs - the closing of businesses." -Service Organization Member "Most discouraging I'd say is the negativity. The negativity toward growth and expansion, negativity towards new industry coming in." -Developer
"I think from a growth perspective, Climax in particular, we need to look at what type of industry is appealing. Take tourism. You could do the city of Climax a favor to make it a stop through. We're right off the freeway, and could generate half a million dollars or more a year in tourist revenue in the community. That tends to grow itself as well. That can bring back the gas stations. That can bring back the shops. That can bring back the small proprietary businesses that the community would need to grow and thrive." -Small Town Resident
"We've gotta create some jobs and they've gotta be decent-paying jobs. It's gotta be industry. The colleges are great, the hospitals are great, they're producing jobs, but people have to have health insurance so they can go to the hospital." -Developer
