Description: Edgemoor Ave, Kalamazoo, between Chevy Chase Blvd. and Cloyster Cr. – Currently maintained by John and Nancy Wilks of 1629 Chevy Chase as a grassy plot - it is now fenced off from Edgemoor Avenue at the curve

Why it should be preserved: It is the only place for public viewing. It is a popular way for non-motorized traffic. The pond is the site of Michigan native plants and animals. The city already owns the land but it is not accessible.

Other Comments: Frank Szapo, City Engineer, informed Mr. Wilks at a WEB neighborhood meeting Jan. 17, 2002 that the fence must be changed.
