Gull Lake

Description: Water content, purity, and shorelines.

Why it should be preserved: It is a significant body of water in Kalamazoo County. It often only seems accessible to the wealthy landowners who live on it.

Other comments: It’s huge. I am concerned about quality of lake water (pollution) due to the high traffic of gasoline-powered watercraft, as well as crowding and over development of homes on the shorelines. (i.e. I took a scuba diving test there and could taste and smell all the gasoline in the waters.)
