Augusta Creek

Description of Site: A view of Augusta Creek on C Avenue between 42^nd and 44^th streets where Augusta Creek flows under a bridge in NE Kalamazoo County.

Why it should be preserved: This bridge area offers a view both north and south of the Augusta Creek and valley rich with plant and animal life, characteristic of Kalamazoo County before settlement. It is still unspoiled rural, wild wetland, but too open to development, and therefore vulnerable.
