The Arboretum relies heavily on its many friends. Students, faculty, alums and members of the public have made tremendous contributions to our ongoing success. Starting with Lillian Anderson and the Batts, many individuals and organizations have helped us with their volunteer time, financial donations and invaluable advice. The Advisory Committee has now decided to establish the "Friends of the Lillian Anderson Arboretum," as a way to recognize our friends and provide a forum for communication between the members of the Arboretum community.

We invite anyone who shares our love of nature and the rich cultural traditions represented by the Anderson Farm to join us by going to the "Friends" area on this website and filling in the form. There's no membership fee, though we appreciate donations of any amount. We'd like to know who you are and how you use the Arboretum. We hope you'll send us suggestions and even consider volunteering for some of the maintenance and habitat restoration chores we have on our schedule. From time to time we'll send you an email newsletter to let you know what we're up to and tell you about volunteer opportunities. Most of all, we'd like you to visit, observe, enjoy and, if you feel like it, tell us about your experiences.
