"What We Eat and Why it Matters"

Join alumni, current students, and members of the Kalamazoo community for a conversation moderated
by Assistant Professor of English Amelia Katanski '92. This panel discussion about sustainability
is sponsored by "Farms2Kalamazoo College" and the Underwood Stryker Institute for
Service-Learning, which works to bring more locally grown foods to our cafeteria and connect
these choices to global issues. Please stay as the conversation continues afterwards with
a reception featuring local food, wine and beer.

All alumni are invited to join students for s'mores and fireside chatting at the new fire ring outside of the
Chapel Cavern. Stop in and see the Cavern and the restored Allen Hoben Meditation Room in the back
of the Chapel as well. There is no charge for this event.

Homecoming Pep Rally


All alumni are invited to join the students and the Athletic Leadership Council to gear up for the big
weekend at the Homecoming Pep Rally! This event will feature prizes, the pep band, the cheer team,
and fun games, including Tug of War, Bat Spin, Snap it Up, and a Chicken Toss. There is
no charge for this event.

Start the day off with a kick at the annual Homecoming 5K Run/Walk. Open to alumni, families,
students, faculty and staff, the run/walk is fun for everyone and a great way to see campus!
Pre-registered participants will receive a special 5K Run/Walk t-shirt and race results
will be posted online.

Each reunion class will have a separate dining room for the class dinners following the reception
and cocktail hour. Dr. Eileen Wilson-Oyelaran, Kalamazoo College's president, will stop by
and welcome each class as the night goes on. Dinner will be served buffet style with vegetarian
options, and a cash bar will be available. $35/adult and $25/child includes dinner and one
drink ticket for the reception. Dinner tickets will not be sold at the door.
