Study Abroad 50th Anniversary Celebration

Kalamazoo College's tradition of excellence includes a respected study abroad program, where students become "at home in the world." Alumni remember this experience as one of the most transforming of their lives, reflected today in a lifelong love of travel and often partnership with the Peace Corps. Tonight's program launches "K's" golden anniversary of study abroad, featuring guest speaker, Dr. Josephine K. "Jody" Olsen, Deputy Director, Peace Corps. Join Dave Bellingham ’63 and the Class of 1963 for an informal golf outing at Milham Park Golf Course.   Milham Park is home to the “K” Hornet golf team.  Open to all alumni, no tee times are necessary.  Just show up at 1:00 pm and Dave will coordinate group(s).  If you prefer to reserve a tee time, call (269) 344-7639.  The fees are modest – 18 holes and a cart are only $25.  Join in the fun!

Begin your day at the annual Homecoming 5K Run/Walk. Open to all ages and fitness levels, the run/walk is a wonderful way to see campus and neighborhood. Registration is free. Cultural Psychology of Arab Muslim Societies

Gregg has published numerous book chapters and articles based on the subjects of cultural and social psychology.  Most noted is the scholarly work that serves as the basis for his two recent books:  The Middle East:  A Cultural Psychology and Culture and Identity in a Muslim Society.  In true Kalamazoo College fashion, Gregg lived in Morocco and Egypt for periods of time totaling five years in order to conduct the research.  Gregg is the recipient of the 2008 Florence J. Lucasse Fellowship Award.  This award recognizes outstanding achievement in creative work, research, or publication, and is in honor of Florence J. Lucasse, Class of 1910.    It is made in recognition of her long and distinguished career as a teacher.
