What is the schedule of events?

What is the maximum number of tickets I can get to Commencement? What if it rains?
Each graduating senior will receive 5 tickets, good for the indoor or outdoor ceremony. Up to 5 additional tickets for the outdoor ceremony only will be available upon request. Tickets will be available in the spring.

Remember that anyone may attend Commencement and sit on the Quad. The tickets apply only to the "reserved" seating section at the bottom of the quad. If you plan to sit on the Quad, you might want to bring a blanket or lawnchairs.

Do I, a graduating senior, have to attend Commencement?
No. Any graduate who is not planning to attend Commencement must contact the Registrar's Office at 269 337-7204. They will be able to give you more information about receiving a diploma without attending the Commenement ceremony. Graduates may pick up their diplomas for two weeks after June 10. After that, diplomas will be mailed to the student's home address.

Where do graduates need to be and when?
Graduating seniors are required to attend the Commencement rehearsal on Thursday, June 7 at 4:00 pm. The Commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 10 at 1:00 pm. Seniors will convene in the Chapel in their caps and gowns at 12:15 pm to prepare for the processional.

When do I pick up my Commencement tickets?
During finals week, in the bookstore, when you also pick up your cap and gown.

How long does my e-mail get forwarded after graduation?

Six months. You will be sent an e-mail reminder when your account expiration date is near.

How do I get my mail forwarded from my campus box?
All student mail will be forwarded to your home address of record. If you are not living at "home" after graduation and would like to leave a different forwarding address, contact student development at 269 337-7210

"Can I walk?"
If you are concerned about whether you will be allowed to march in the Commencement ceremony, contact the registrar at 269 337-7204. According to the student handbook, "students who have earned 27 units (exclusive of LAC and PE) upon completion of work for the winter quarter, or 30 units (exclusive of LAC and PE) by the time of Commencement, are eligible to march in the commencement ceremony."

Will the bookstore be open?
Of course! Check back soon for details about the Bookstore's schedule.

I need a Handicapped parking pass. How do I get one? I have a Handicapped parking pass. Where should I park?
Handicapped parking will be available on campus. Please check back soon for details about reserving a parking pass.

Where are the Handicapped accessible facilities?
Olds Upton is your best option for a barrier-free restroom that is close to the ceremony. The Hicks Center will be under construction at the time of Commencement.

Barrier-free restrooms are also located in the Fine Arts building (Dalton Lobby), Mandelle (Admissions hallway), Dewing (first floor lobby, and ground floor across from service center), Anderson Athletic Center (coaches offices hallway, lobby, and locker rooms), Olds Upton (all levels have barrier-free restrooms), and Stetson Chapel (located off of the lobby, on the South end near Old Welles).

When will we know about the weather?
The "weather call" will be made on Commencement morning. The information table in the Upjohn Library Commons will publicize any change in plans.
