Do not follow where the
path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
On June 10 & 11, 2005, two very exciting rites of passage
will occur at Kalamazoo College. Families and friends of the Class
of 2005 will join the graduating seniors to celebrate Commencement.
Also that weekend, the Classes of 1955, 1950 and 1945 will celebrate
their 50th, 55th and 60th Class Reunions. Many activities are
planned for the weekend. This website is your resource for information
and contacts. The Office of Alumni Relations plans both Commencement
and alumni reunion weekends. You may always contact us with questions.

Hotels
Reserve your rooms early. The College has blocked rooms at several
local hotels, as is indicated on the LIST
OF HOTELS. Mention that you are attending Kalamazoo College's
Commencement activities to receive a special rate. Emeritus Reunion
attendees should also mention that they are attending Commencement
to receive the room discount.
Parking
Parking is tight! On Saturday, students will be moving out of
the dorms, families will be milling about, and the campus will
be teeming with graduates, Emeritus Club members, and guests.
If you find a good parking spot, you will want to keep it. Parking
is available in any campus lot, behind Hicks Center/Welles Hall,
and on Academy, Lovell and other surrounding streets. Handicapped
parking will be available at the bottom of the quad at the east
end of Hicks Center, and near the Stone Room, at the west end
of Hicks Center. Academy Street is closed for one block between
Bulkley and Thompson streets, due to the Upjohn Library Renovation.
Inclement Weather Policy
At 11:00 a.m. on Commencement morning, College administrators
will make the "weather call." In the event of inclement
weather, the Commencement ceremony will be held in Anderson Athletic
Center. Because a limited number of seats are availalbe, each
graduate will receive four tickets to the indoor event.*
