The Electronic Physics Auxiliary Publication Service (EPAPS) is a low-cost electronic depository for material that is supplemental to a journal article. Examples of appropriate material include multimedia files, auxiliary figures, data tables, computer programs, and appendices.
Authors of manuscripts that depend on such auxiliary material should prepare to deposit that material to EPAPS and include appropriate references in the manuscript. One easy way of submitting the material during the review process is to place it on your own website and provide a link from which it may be dowloaded. However, it is important to place material relevant to accepted papers on EPAPS which is a more reliable archival site than an author's website.
The format for including a reference to EPAPS material using LaTeX is exemplified below. A similar reference style can be used for MSWord documents. The *** will be filled in by AIP when the article is published.
\bibitem{EPAPS} See EPAPS Document No. *** for the simulation software, an accompanying manual, and example problems. This document can be reached through a direct link in the online article’s reference section or via the EPAPS homepage at <http://www.aip.org/pubservs/epaps.html>.
Explore the EPAPS website for general information or for retrieving EPAPS files. Authors must fill out an EPAPS deposit form and submit it to AJP either via email to ajp@kzoo.edu or by regular mail to the Editor, (see the journal's staff page for the address) when their article is accepted for publication.
