The 1833 Society
The 1833 Society is the leadership giving society of the Kalamazoo
College Fund. It is comprised of a dedicated group of alumni,
parents and friends of the College who have a willingness to give
and a drive to change students' lives for the better.
Annual gifts of $1000 or more ensures your place in the 1833
Society. You are welcome to spread your payments throughout the
year, or to use your matching gift dollars from your employer
to become part of the 1833 Society. However, the College must
receive all gifts within the fiscal year, which runs from July
1-June 30.
Your gifts at the leadership level account for 70% of the total
annual fund. You can still direct your gift to one of the three
areas of critical need within the College, including scholarships,
faculty and teaching resources, and K's greatest needs. No matter
how you direct your unrestricted gift, you are helping to make
excellence at Kalamazoo College possible.
Members of the 1833 Society receive a complimentary newsletter
and early information about College-sponsored events. However,
the greatest benefit is the knowledge that your leadership gift
reaches so many students and provides the resources and opportunities
that make Kalamazoo College unique.
