Jacqui Cohen joined the Office of Admission in 2016 after spending her life on the East Coast until she began at Kalamazoo College. Jacqui grew up in Commack, NY and spent her entire higher education career in the state of Rhode Island, completing her B.A. in Psychology from Roger Williams University (RWU) and her M.S. in College Student Personnel from The University of Rhode Island (URI). During her time at URI Jacqui worked as an academic advisor, assisted in career advising, and taught career development courses to students in the College of Business. In between academic programs, Jacqui worked as an Admission Counselor at RWU for two years. In her free time, she enjoys staying active and especially enjoys the (short) beach season!

Favorite Food: Avocado.
When you visit Kalamazoo, you must… take a ride through the city on the bike path, go to Verhage Cidermill for cider and caramel apples, walk through Bronson Park during the holidays, and see a show or band at State Theatre!
Favorite question from a prospective student: “Should I pack my snow boots?”
Favorite college memory: Studying abroad in Florence, Italy where I was immediately immersed in a new language, traveled throughout Italy and to five other countries and gained a new global perspective.
Advice for prospective students: Visit as many schools as you can during your search! Finding the right fit is so important and it’s something you can’t discover until you’re on the campus. But above all, remember to have fun through this exciting process!
