The Morris K. Udall Scholarship and Excellence in National Environmental Policy Foundation will award approximately 75 scholarships (up to $5,000 each) to:

• Outstanding sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue careers related to environmental public policy.
  
  
• OR outstanding Native American and Alaskan Native American sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue careers in health care or tribal public policy.

Guidelines:

• Begin your work well in advance of the deadline.
  
  
• Pay close attention to the question asked
  
  
• Spend time researching Mo Udall's important speeches, policy statements and legislative acts. Write about the impact of one of these on your field of interest.

Deadlines:

• February 11, 2005: submit a copy of short answers and essays for review by Dr. Kiino
  
  
• February 23, 2005: submit complete application including letters of evaluation and official college transcript(s).
