Four year institutions are eligible to nominate up to four students who are in the sophomore or junior class using official nomination materials. Each scholarship covers expenses for tuition, fees, books, room and board up to a maximum of $7,500 annually. Junior-level scholarship recipients are eligible for a maximum of two years support and senior-level recipients for one year support. Up to 300 scholarships are awarded each year. To be eligible for nomination, the applicant must be nominated by science faculty, maintain at least a 3.0 grade point (3.8 recommended to be competitive) and be a citizen (or a resident alien) of the United States. Nominees for the scholarship must include a statement of interest in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering, detailing how their academic program and overall education plans (graduate study) will prepare them for their career goal. In addition to the nominee's essay, three independent faculty evaluations, an official college transcript, and an official transcript of high school grades must be included. All nomination materials must be submitted to the Foundation by Dr. Kiino. The campus deadline for submission of these materials to Dr. Kiino is Friday, January 12. How to apply
